Isolation Hemispheres With Felt Dot & PSA
Sorbothane® Hemisphere mounts with felt dots and Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) provide a quick, cost-effective method of isolating vibration. Place the hemispheres under the unit to be isolated. Expect a 20 to 30% deflection when statically loaded. Under loading will result in poor isolation.

A small Felt Dot on the crown of the Hemisphere prevents the Sorbothane material from sticking to the component being isolated. Aggressive pressure sensitive double coated adhesive tape adds a thin polyester film for dimensional stability and improved handling. The adhesive provides exceptional temperature and chemical resistance and withstands tough environments. Firm application pressure, and the amount of adhesive-to-surface contact, combines to develop superior bonding strength.
