Isolation Hemispheres With Urethane Coating & PSA

Urethane coated Sorbothane® Hemisphere mounts with Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) provide a quick, cost-effective method of isolating vibration. Place the hemispheres under the unit to be isolated. Expect a 20 to 30% deflection when statically loaded. Under loading will result in poor isolation.

  The thin urethane coating reduces the amount of natural tack helping to make the Sorbothane® Hemisphere easier to handle. The coating also reduces surface friction and adds a layer of protection from elements. Aggressive pressure sensitive double coated adhesive tape adds a thin polyester film for dimensional stability and improved handling. The adhesive provides exceptional temperature and chemical resistance and withstands tough environments. Firm application pressure, and the amount of adhesive-to-surface contact, combines to develop superior bonding strength.
